Influencer Partnerships

Partnering with influencers provides brand exposure and can elevate your brand to new heights.  You’ve learned how to form Relationships with bloggers and journalist from our previous post. Now it’s time to learn how to partner with influencers to elevate your brand’s products or services.

Before you begin to work with a blogger you should answer the question what is my goal for working with influencers? The answers could increase sales, increase awareness,  brand credibility, product reviews, hosting an event and so on. Once you know why you want to work with influencers you need to create a partnership guideline. These guidelines need to spell out each party’s (you the brand and influencer) responsibilities. Doing this upfront provides a clear understanding for everyone involved. After the responsibilities are agreed upon you as the  brand should have an agreement ready for the influencer to sign. This is a must especially if money is being exchanged for the partnership. Influencers are likely to charge a fee for collaborating with brands, so be prepared to have that conversation.

If you don’t have the budget to work with the top influencers look for niche influencers who have an actively engaged social media community. Your goal might be to partner with beauty influencer. If you can’t afford the top beauty influencer,  the next step would be to look at micro-influencers or even nano-influencers.

There are so many ways to partner with influencers to elevate your brand just remember to keep your goal in the forefront, prepare your partnership guidelines and have fun! Partnerships are a great way to grow relationships with influencers in your industry.
